گرتے ہی اسکی آنکھ ایکدم کھلی چہرے پر پسینے کے قطرے چمکے اور لمبے لمبے سانس لینے لگا پھر سائیڈ ٹیبل پر رکھے جگ سے گلاس میں پانی انڈیل کر ایک ہی سانس میں پی گیا
تو وہ اسکا خواب تھا مگر کیسا خواب کون تھی وہ سفید فام لڑکی اور وہ سیاہ فام عورت وہ پھول وہ گارڈن وہ آگ اسے کچھ سمجھ نہ آیا آج تک ایک کانپتا وجود دکھائی دیتا تھا جو اسکی راتوں کی نیند حرام کر دیتا تھا اور اب یہ
کیا تھا یہ کیا سکون اور چین کی نیند عماد شاہ کی قسمت میں نہیں تھی
وہ بیڈ سے اٹھا سگریٹ اٹھائی جلائ اور کھڑکی پر جا کر کھڑا ہو گیا جہاں سے رات کے اس پہر کالا آسمان اسے صاف دکھائی دے رہا تھا وہاں کچھ تارے بھی تھے اور ایک چاند بھی مگر انکے پیچھے کچھ چھپا تھا کیا ؟
