“ہاں۔تم مجھے طلاق دے دو میں ابھی چلی جاؤں گی اور۔”
“ہمارے یہاں بیویاں چھوڑنے کا رواج ابھی تک امریکہ سے نہیں آیا ہے۔”عمید کی حمیت پر اس کا مطالبہ تازیانہ بن کر لگا تھا۔
“ہونہہ۔ہوتے کون ہو تم۔”وہی بدتمیز انداز جس سے عمید کا خون کھول رہا تھا۔وہ جھپٹ کر آگے بڑھا۔
“بتاؤں کون ہوں میں۔”اس نے امتثال کے شانوں پہ اپنی مضبوط انگلیاں پیوست کردیں۔آنکھوں میں چنگاڑیاں اور چہرے کا تناؤ سب ہی اس کو خوفزدہ کرنے کو کافی تھا۔وہ جو طرم خانی دکھارہی تھی سہم کر رہ گئی۔
“میں گھر میں تماشہ بنانا نہیں چاہتا۔اگر انکار کرنا تھا تو اپنے ڈیڈی سے کرتیں اور اگر تمہاری وجہ سے بےجی پریشان ہوئی تو میں تمہیں قتل کردوں گا۔”اس کا سرد اور برفیلا انداز دیکھ اسے کونے میں رکھے اوزار یاد آگئے اور ساتھ ہی سارہ مما کے جملے۔
“ایشیائی مرد اپنی انا کیلیے قتل کرنے سے بھی دریغ نہیں کرتے۔کوئی ان کی توہین نہیں کرسکتا۔”
“تم مجھے دھمکیاں دے رہے ہو۔”ُخود کو کمزور ظاہر کرکے وہ اسے خود پہ حاوی نہیں ہونے دینا چاہتی تھی۔
“خاموشی سے لیٹ جاؤ۔۔ورنہ۔۔۔”بیڈ پر رکھا تکیہ کارپٹ پر پھینک کر اس نے اسے دھمکایا۔
“اور اپنے حسن اور گرین کارڈ کا لیبل تمہیں مبارک ہو۔تم جیسی لڑکی کو تو بھی دیکھنا بھی نہیں چاہتا۔میرے نزدیک تمہارے جیسی لڑکی کی کوئی حیثیت نہیں ہے۔”وہ فائق چاچا,بےجی اور ابا جی سب سے کئے گئے وعدے بھول گیا تھا۔
